Tuesday 7 October Total Fuel 427 Litres
Left Mackay heading north again. Had a good run up to Brampton Island and anchored in Western Bay before lunch. What a beautiful bay, white sands, clear water and wonderful reef. Dived over and snorkelled ashore, lots of coral and fish. Landed at oyster covered rocks, strange that, and immediately attacked them with my new oyster opening tools that young Barnes had made for me at Mackay , that I just happened to have , in the tender Polly , that I was towing . I towed Polly after me in case I got tired of snorkelling .I’m pleased to say that the new tools worked wonderfully. Returned to the boat, snorkelling, and washed down the oysters with refreshing ale. Upped anchor and moved around to Pelican Inlet, which is off the resort on Brampton. Interesting afternoon as I was under the flight path for the runway on the island. Did some navigation and course planning , working out for the rest of the trip.

hi everyone well Ive finally updated my blog site of the trip up to Mackay. I'm leaving tomorrow to head up to the Whitsundays and onwards ever onwards . I've had some great times in Mackay with Pip and Marilyn visiting . We went for a 2 night trip to Kesswick Island but had to come back early as the wind was picking up .Just so you wont get your knickers in a knot Elaine I''ve attached a pick of Pip putting Marilyn to bed on the back deck.
It was great to catch up with my very good friend Mol ,we spent some quality time doing what we do best , drinking and bullshitting. Mol's generosity meant that I was mobile for my time in Mackay , thank mate. Nicky and Jay Barnes also opened the door of hospitality and it was great to catch up with them , I was even able to attend little Graces christening, I've attached a pic .
I took Jay and a couple of his mates over to Kesswick Island fishing , Jay as usual was seasick most of the time as usual (Pic), and despite his help we still caught a good feed .As usual Jays crack featured(Pic)???
